Architecture of Vienna

Any recommendations for visiting buildings of architectural interest, non baroque, since 1880, (e:g Adolf Loos, Otto Wagner. We would either make up our own tour or would be interested in one (in English) if it exists, many thanks! We know about the succession builing and can%26#39;t wait to see it, any thing that might be great to look at that is not well known?

Many different architectural styles in Vienna.

Just fun to wlk the streets looking up at the facades.

A few you may like.

The Loos House ( looshaus) on Michaelerplatz.

Today a bank, when construced it caused much talk due to unusual window treatment when built. It was known as the house without eyebrows.

Old Post Office Building ( Postsparkasse)-

just off the Ring on Postgasse. Very interesting inside and out.

Public transport buildings on Karlsplatz- not far from the Secession, ( Stadtbahn Pavillon Karlsplatz. Beautiful entrances to subway.

Also worth a visit is the Hundertwasser Haus.

I do not know of any organized tour to these places. Not really needed- all are easy to find.

If you are close to Karlsplatz and Wiener Secession you can also see the Otto Wagner Houses at Linke Wienzeile 38
