Stockerau

I will be staying at the Best Western Hotel Drei Koenigshof in Stockerau this April. Does anyone know anything about this hotel? What is the easiest way to get to central Vienna from Stockerau. I%26#39;ll have a car but don%26#39;t want to try to drive and park in central Vienna. Thank you.

Stockerau is a suburban town north of Vienna.

The best way into the city is by train.

They run approximately every 30 minutes.

You can drive to the station .Look for signs - Bahnhof- alarge parking place there as many commute into Vienna from there.

You can buy your tickets at the train station or if it is not open from an automatic machine there ( usually orange in color)

Trip is less than 30 minutes to the stop Floridsdorf. Depending on your destination it is probably best to transfer there to the subway ( u bahn )line u-6 then to u-4 to the center of the city. Or even the streetcar #31 to the city center.

A one day ticket for the Vienna transport system is 5 euro. a 3 day ticket is a better bargain. You can buy your ticket at the Floridsdorf station. Get a city map showing the Vienna transport lines. Floridsdorf is a major transfer point for trains, streetcars and subway. From there you have many alternative ways for places in the city.

Stockerau is not the most convenient town to stay for your time in Vienna. Any special reason to stay there?

I can not comment on the hotel. Never been inside. Only know that it is on the main street of the town.

hi you can take the direct train (S9 or some regional trains) to WIEN MITTE/Landstrasse (it goes every 20 minute) , where you can change to U4, U3 to go the city center , since it´s not so far you can even walk. Don´t forget that the last trains from Vienna leaves at Midnight.

Or if you are brave you can drive your carto any of the Park and Ride stations e.g in Kagran (about 20 minutes by car where you can go directly from Stockerau following the %26quot;donauuferautobahn%26quot; A22 and change there to the Ubahn/underground U1.

Stockerau is a quite small town and your hotel is in the town center (not too far away from the train station) which is normally very quiet..PS nothing happens at the weekend there. ´

I passed the hotel several time but since I never stayed there I cannot tell you anything.

about the price for the Schnellbahn, it goes by zones. If I remember correctly they are 3 zones from Stockerau till Wien Mitte, so it´s 4,5 per Person per leg.
