From the train?

Greetings!

We are arriving into Salzburg via train from Vienna, is there a subway system from the main terminal to get to Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel?

Danke

No, I think you would need a taxi.

No subway system in Salzburg

A subway system has been planned for Salzburg for years. I think there%26#39;s a lot of controversy about it. But why would anyone want to go underground in Salzburg?? Enjoy your taxi ride and then do lots of walking.

Have a great time.

Thanks everyone, and I agree, I don%26#39;t want to ride the subway...just want to get sorted quickly and hit the streets! Can%26#39;t wait!

Your hotel is only 1 kilometer from the train station according to a web site I saw. That%26#39;s just a little over half a mile, so it would be a very short taxi ride. There are always plenty of taxis outside the train station. It%26#39;s best not to assume your driver will speak English, so be sure to have the name of the hotel and address written unless you speak German. Hope you have a wonderful time in this beautiful city!

My German is limited to ordering beer I%26#39;m afraid :-) Do you happen to have the website? I have been searching for one....I would love to just walk it. 1/2 mile is fine, we travel very light.

Official hotel web site:

The map on this site is helpful - just click on %26quot;Journey%26quot; and click on the map to enlarge. It looks like it%26#39;s about 5 blocks from the train station. Also, I%26#39;m sure if you emailed or called the hotel they could give you the best turns from the train station to the hotel.

Google is a beautiful thing.

Be sure not to miss St. Peter%26#39;s church and cemetary. St. Peter%26#39;s restaurant is really good too.

Excellent thanks for the tips!
