Vienna with my 8 year old

What sights would you suggest that I take my daughter to see in July? We will be in Vienna for 3 days, Salzburg for 2 days, Munich for 3 days and then we are off to Paris.

Hi Kaspie,

well, she might like the ZOO in Schoenbrunn castle (13 distr.), that%26#39;s lovely the whole year long, but I especially like it during summer. It%26#39;s one of the oldest ZOO in the world, keeping lots of old style %26amp; buildings, but they also do a lot of research %26amp; development (having two giant pandas, koala-bear, arctic-house, etc.).

Or go to the House of Music (1st distr.), which is not just a museum-sort of thing, but also made out for creative souls (she can experiment there with lots of things around music and sound/voice). In the Museum Quarter (6th district) there%26#39;s a kid%26#39;s museum.

Could be fun at the Prater (2nd distr.), with rollercaster and all the lunapark-sort of entertainment.

For more info on the zoo- the oldest in the world

www.zoovienna.at

I would also recommend a visit to the zoo and other attractions at Schonbrunn

Also look to www.info.wien.at- an official tour guide to Vienna.

look to english version - then to specials- then to Vienna for children that really supplies good information on many things to do

one great idea is the Hofburg tour for kids on Sunday if you are there then.
