Innsbruck SkiBus

My wife and I are traveling to Innsbruk in January, very excited.

What is the avearage time that it takes to get to Innsbruck ski-resorts? How early and late do the ski buses run? I couldn%26#39;t find any info on the Innsbruk skibus, is there a website?

Thanks!

We just returned from a week%26#39;s trip to Vienna and Innsbruck. We went to the Stubai Glacier to go skiing, and our hotel directed us to a bus that was about 14 Euros/person roundtrip. From my understanding, a free skibus starts mid-December, but we were there too early for that. The bus left every hour on the hour, starting at 8:30am and the last bus out of Stubai was 5:30pm. The trip from Innsbruck to Stubai took about an hour. We did have to change buses half way through (the bus driver was very helpful with that) to get out to Stubai. The hotel had the bus schedule - I don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s online. Hope this helps!

General information about the Skier buses is at: www.innsbruck-tourismus.com/index.html…

With advance reservations, a bus will pick you up at your hotel and take you to a central transfer point where you change to a bus for a specific ski area. A bus schedule can be found at: innsbruck-tourismus.com/busfahrplan_en.html

The three main ski areas around Innsbruck are Nordkette, Patscherkofel and Axamer Lizum. There is a very good overview map at: alpineskimaps.com/htm/…holidayvillage.html

You can reach Nordpark by taking the #1 Tram to the north turn around point and then ride the Hungerburg Funicular Railway and the Nordkette Cableway.

The Skiers bus or Tram J goes from downtown to the Parscherkofelbahn cable car and the Olympic Express chairlift at Patscherkofel in Igls. At Patscherkofel you could also take a bobsled ride down the Olympic run for 30 € each.

Axamer Lizum is reached by Skier bus.

Innsbruck Card information is at: www.innsbruck-tourismus.com/index.html…
