Ischgl is a magical place, fantastic sking with a great snow record. Lifts are are very central and great network very little queues. If you like to party Ischgl is the place......apres ski goes on all nite long recommed the Trofana Alm but get there early to reserve a table. If you can afford 5* the Trofana Royal is the only place to stay friendly and top class. I have stayed in lots of 5* and this is certainly the best yet !!!!!!! Overall the village is compact and lively but very expensive even the supermarkets. I would recommed you fly in to either Austria or Switzerland to avoid the long traffic jams from Southern Germany.

I agrre, Ischgl is fantastic. Do you kknow anything about the cheapest places to stay, like apartments or 2**, 3*** chalets?
