Vienna to Brno

I%26#39;ll be in Vienna in June with my husband. We wanted to make a day trip to the Czech Republic. Is a day trip to Brno worth while? Can you tell me any sites to see? Or can someone recommend another close city to make a day trip to from Vienna?

Thanks so much!!!

Do you have a special reason for Brno?

look at the city website and decide if it is for you

www.brno.cz

It will list all the sights to see-

To me not so intersting.

I%26#39;m regularly in the Czech Rep. (for business), I even lived there a while and cannot really imagine a particular reason to go to Brno. But there are lot of nice little towns near to the border worth to visit. Go for Telc, Tabor or Cesky Krumlov, they are smaller but full of athmosphere. They%26#39;re famous for their well kept medieval old-towns. The same Ceske Budejovice (known as Budweis - have some of their famous beers . . .) or Olomouc (with the lovely Cathedral). Or make a trip to the %26quot;twin%26quot; castles just few kilometers from the border (though on the CZ-side) : Lednice %26amp; Valtice. They are wonderfully kept and the gardens are absolutely fabolous and special (some unic plants !).
