Zillertal Arena

What about it? Does it deserve to be choosen for a february vacation? What about slopes, after ski bars, night in the .. villages?

Thank you for your time!

Zillertal Arena has a huge skiing area and very extended lift network, also lots of bars and restaurants... but not so much on the slopes as in the valley. You can get hotels of the same standard for less money than Ischgl/Paznaun area. I like the area for skiing, although it doesn%26#39;t have such a great natural backdrop as many places in Switzerland.

Just make sure you are not going there when Austrian schools have their winter holidays -the slopes will be full with kids and families. The hotel prices will go up, too. Skiing is a mass sport in Austria and Switzerland, everybody does it..

Kids holiday? When is it? We want to go between 25 february and 4 march. But we can shift it a little if necessary. What is best, Saalbach or Zillertal?

That%26#39;s a toss up. Saalbach is probably a bit more %26quot;rural%26quot;.

Sorry, had to stop my message in the last posting.

I have skied the Zillertal and found the runs quite easy. Have visited the Saalbach valley in the summer, but not skied it. It looked as if the runs might be more varied and challenging.
