parking in Innsbruck

We will be driving to Innsbruck from Germany, arriving mid-day on the 24th, and staying in the old town area which I know is %26quot;car free.%26quot; Does anyone suggest a parking area outside this area where we can drop our car to leave for a few days?

Referring to my Innsbruck map which I brought home from our recent trip, there are Parkmoglichkeit (parking) scattered around the Alstadt (old town) area. Close to Alstadt - Herren Gasse and Rennweg (street names) which is next to the Hofgarten; there are also a few close to the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) on Meinhardstrasse and Brunecker Strasse. The Hauptbahnhof is only a 5-10 minute walk from Alstadt. Not sure of the parking fees, however.

I went back to your postings and see that you are a great traveler. I went to %26quot;Cinque Terre%26quot; (%26quot;Five Towns) in Italy and really enjoyed it. There are one or two videos which include it and was enchanted.

Went alone (Divorced) and still had a great time. Got a small room with a great view in Riomaggiore. I know an expatriate American lady that you can phone or email if you%26#39;re interested. E-mail me at Harry_f@earthlink.net if I can be of any help and if you%26#39;d like further details.
