How long should we allow to tour the schonbrunn zoo

We are travelling to Vienna in January and with so much it see in this beautiful city and not enough time allowed. We are trying to allocate time without rushing, but getting the most out of the time we have. How long should we allow to tour the schonbrunn zoo?

We were there only last week and spent about 3 hours at Schonbrunn zoo, after touring the palace, but could have spent longer. There is a lot to see even though it is quite a small space. Not as big as Melbourne Zoo!

Did you do the 22 room tour or the 40 room tour? Do you have a recomendation as we are still trying to decide which to do?

I can spend a whole day in the Schönbrunn-zoo every time, however I can remember when being there in january, it was so freezing cold that I couldn%26#39;t stand too long . . .

And in the castle itself I suggest to make the samller tour.

We did the longer (I think it was the 40 room) tour, with an information handset - included in the entrance price. This way you can take as much time as you like and replay information.
