Church concerts

I%26#39;d love to go to a concert (wearing warm clothes as previously posted on here!) in a church this November. Does anyone know how I could find out in advance what might be one where? I only have November 30th free, the day I arrive, so I%26#39;d need to know beforehand what was on, I wouldn%26#39;t have time to search around.

I suggest you try the Wien tourist info event database here www.nethotels.com/events/english/events.asp… and also this site http://www.kirchenmusik-wien.at/ which lists church services with music and church concerts for most churches in Austria. Between the two, you should be able to scour up most of what%26#39;s on. These sorts of things are not usually announced a long way in advance so it%26#39;s worth checking back again in a couple of weeks ...

At the mo, there doesn%26#39;t seem to be much on for 30 Nov (a few concerts at the Konzerthaus but nothing terribly gripping).

Hooey! You%26#39;ll just have to go to the xmas market and get plastered on the Punsch ...

One Church that often has excelent concerts and is not known to most tourists-is the Minoritenkirche.

It is located in a quiet area of the First District in a square between Cafe Central and the Hofburg ( U-3 - stop Herrengasse - look for signs to elevator that leaves you directly on the square behind the Church.)

Always signs in front of the Church advertising concerts.

The Evangelical Church across the street from the Dorotheum Auction House also has excelent concerts( placards in front of Church) I have seen members of the State and Volksoper sing there.
