April May June September are good months for a visit.

In Spring the gardens such as those at Volksgardan are in full bloom. Outdoor restaurants and cafes are generally open.

Fewer tourists as schools are still in session. Weather is normally mild- but lately unpredictable.

You may find cheaper hotel prices.

July and August- perhaps the hottest time and most crowded. Many buildings do not have air- conditioning. Not the best time to visit.

If you have an interest in music-

Music venues , such as the State Opera, Volks Opera and Philharmonic are closed during July and August.

The public transport system is excelent- clean, safe and not expensive.

You can reach everything in the city.

One ticket allows ridership on bus, streetcar and subway ( U-bahn)

look to

www. wienerlinien.at

for more info.

Only suggestion for a hotel is to find one in the city center or as close to it as possible.

All hotels in the center will have a postal code A-1ß1ß.

Look on Trip Advisor for full range of hotels and good reviews.

Enjoy your visit!
