Dress for Mozart concert at Schonnbrunn Palace?

We have booked a Mozart concert/tour at Schonbrunn Palace as part of our Europe trip in January. As we are limited in space for clothing do not want to bring extra things if not necessary. Can anyone tell me what sort of dress is required? Is smart casual OK? Are dress jeans OK? Do we need dress shoes? Also as we have booked the concert and tour can you tell me how long we should allow for the tour?

it is not necessary to dress up for these concerts. dress jeans are perfectly fine. dress shoes not necessary!

during winter the palace closes at 5:00 pm. the audio guide which you%26#39;ll receive with this package will take you through the palace in about 45 minutes. starting the walk through the palace at 4 pm would still give you enough time to finish the tour until closing time. I%26#39;d recommend to be there earlier, as you%26#39;ll have to pick up your coupon for the tour at the Orangerie (where the concert is) and not at the main building of the palace. but mostly you should take your time exploring not just rush through! check out their website for a map www.imagevienna.com click on book now and on the right there will be a link: map of the area!

Thank-you that is very helpful the less packing needed the better.

We are also guessing the tour is the smaller tour if you book a tour separatly. The 22 rooms not the 40 would that be right?

yup, I%26#39;m pretty sure it will be the shorter tour. it gives you a sufficient view of the rooms.

I did the 40 rooms tour once - that was %26quot;information overload%26quot;. after a while everything just looked the same!
