I will be staying with my brother and father for two nights in October in Bad Ischl at the Hotel Goldenes Schiff. Can anyone recommend any restaraunts in the area, preferably that we could walk to from the hotel?

The Goldenes Schiff is a 4 star hotel and has a good restaurant.
Bad Ischl is a small town and you can walk most places.
Try the Konditorei Zauner , very famous for their pastry.
They also have a restaurant on the Esplanade.
Ask at the reception about the restaurant Villa Schratt- this may need a taxi
