Vienna Ball

It%26#39;s my friends 30th birthday in January and think she would love to go to a ball in Vienna. I%26#39;ve searched the net but can%26#39;t find any way of purchasing tickets for any of these events - well not any websites that are in English anyway!

Can you give me your feedback on which ball in Vienna is best (bearing in mind I%26#39;ve got a limit to how much I can spend!), how much tickets cost and most importantly where I can buy them from...!?

Almost a Ball every night form early January until Ash Wednesday.

I think everygroup from Sugarbakers ( Zuckerbacker Ball) to cooffee handlers ( kaffesiederball) to the Washer Womens- you have a wide choie.

Perhaps best known and most expensive is Opera Ball- this year February 23.

Some inexpensive tickets if you wish to stand without a seat-

To me three of the nicest are in January

The Jager Ball ( Hunters Ball) January 30-- in the Hofburg Palace about 75 euros per ticket

www.verein-gruneskreuz.at many dress In Tirolean style.

Philharmonic Ball- January 19

about 100 euros

Flower Ball January 13 at the Rathaus ( Cityhall) www.wien.at

You will have a good evening or morning depending on your wishes.

Ball goers are often seen still wandering home by those going to work in the morning.

Have fun!
