My sister, Niece and I are going on a lifetime trip which will include a night at the State Opera. We need a nice hotel which will be our %26quot;splurge hotel%26quot;, but we are all working people, not trust fund babies. Something under $400 per night for the room. Thanks for the feedback

one of the most famous hotels in the world.
Recently renovated - a superb place.

Ailidh, I know, would also put in a word for the Pension Suzanne, which is in a side street very close to the Opera. She uses it as her base for Staatsoper visits for that reason. It looks very nice and the prices, for that area, are very reasonable. Their website is
