We spent 2005 New Year in London and 2006 New Year in Paris and Paris was just a total let down with no real excitment or buzz. Compared to being underneath Big Ben and the London firework display Paris at the Eiffel tower was a huge disappointment to me! Any suggestions for 2007?

If you like formal balls in a Palace - its here. Some provide a many course dinner with music and much dancing.
if you prefer a huge free city street party- its here. Many squares and streets in the center of the city are turned into stages for all kinds of music fom Hard Rock to Waltz and everything in between. This party starts in the early afternoon - so big the city will provide maps to show the many happenings and their locations.
Kiosks sell food and drink.
Hundreds of thousands enjoy this evening with good fun until very early in the morning.
Fireworks at midnight with a waltz in the streets of course !
