Please can you advise the best location for skiing for New Years Celebrations. I am worried that there may not be enoigh snow and would welcome any adivse on the best ski resorts. I am going in a group of 13 people so would require somewhere lively and not too expensive.

I spent this past New years in At Anton am Arlberg. It was freezing cold and snowed sometimes at night - Perfect conditions. I would suggest you go for one of the higher resorts like St Anton, Lech or Ischgl. These are all big resorts with lots of choices for nightlife, restaurants and lots of slopes.
