Arriving late into Vienna, staying a couple of nights then moving on to explore rest of Austria. Need hotel that is easy to get to by using the CAT. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The Hilton Stadtpark is just across the street from the Cat train terminal ( Landmitte) This terminal is convenient to the subway lines U-3 and 4 and several streetcar lines too making it easy to reach other ares too.

Thank you very much for your suggestion, very helpful. Planning this trip for husband and wife who have been apart for 4 months because of work. Will make husband and wife re-union that much more special. Speaking of romance - need another hotel in Vienna at the end of our stay that is %26#39;romantic%26#39; something to remember our trip by. Something under $500 a night.

A suite at the Imperial Hotel is one place that many think about.
A good staff makes a stay comfortable. Near to the Opera and Musikverein for a nice evening experience.
Please note- Austria has assumed the Presidency of the European Union for a six month term to July 2006.
Numerous meetings -State visits and etc. mean much expected congestion at major hotels including extra security.
If you do not mind something in the outer areas of the city.
