Reasonably priced accomodation close to the centre

I am hoping to take my Mum to Vienna for a few days in June. Just wondered if anyone could reccomend any nice accomodation close to the centre. As long as it%26#39;s clean, not really bothered whether it%26#39;s a hotel or B %26amp; B.

Thanks!

Could you give us your definition of %26quot;reasonable%26quot;? I like Pension Christina (www.pertschy.com) for being central, squeaky clean, and good value for money. Pension Nossek (www.pension-nossek.at) shares all the same virtues - and is even more central, right on the Graben (doubles around 110 euros pn). I%26#39;ve stayed at both and would happily return to them again.

Thanks for your suggestions Roley, sorry for being so vague regarding the cost!

And I like Pension Suzanne, which is a couple of hundred yards from the Opera house. Singles about 76 Euros in June, I think. Unlike Roley, I don%26#39;t have experience of any other accommodation in Vienna but I%26#39;m more than happy to recommend this one.

Furnished %26#39;shabby chic%26#39;, which some people have mistaken for tatty, extremely clean, friendly people who speak good English when my German gives out.

Only a breakfast room, no restaurant for lunch or dinner.

venere.com has a great website. Just click on the innere stadt and many accomodations will pop-up. Thanks to many in this forum we booked Pension Pertschy.

Hi Luna,

We have just returned to Australia after nine days in Vienna over Christmas and New Year during which time we stayed at the Deutchmeister Hotel, A 3 minute walk to the nearest Metro station and 2 stops to the city or walking distance if you and your mum are able. Very clean, fantastic staff who we could not praise enough, all spoke very good english and very helpful as tourist advisors also. Breakfast in dining room included and absolutely superb. We cannot wait to return.

Hope this is of help to you.
