Ischgl

Myself and a group of friends have got ours hearts on skiing in Ischgl in March. We have flights %26amp; transfers to Innsbruck, however I am having difficulty trying to get accommodation. I have checked numerous sites and made enquiries with a number of hotels %26amp; pensions, only to find that they have no avalability or are too expensive.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay?

Well, Ischgl is not the most affordable great skiing in Austria ....

Anyway have you checked www.ischgl.com - this is the official site and if there is help you will find it if you inquire here.

Good luck!

Sorry to say, but that´s exactly the way it is: March is peak season, and Ischgl is quite expensive. You will need quite a bit of luck now (recommended to book at least 4-6 months in advance). Keep trying.. there are always some people who cancel on short notice, and you could %26quot;gamble%26quot; with a waiting list, however I would not rely on it. Talk to the local tourist office, they will know best.

The best advice is to get hold of the tourist office. There are always little B%26amp;Bs that do not have websites, so the only way to get hold of them is through the tourist office. Email the Ishgl office with details of the type of accommodation, dates, and number of people and they should get back to you with possibilities. Then you will have to call or email those places directly.

Unfortuantely when you leave it late, you often end up with the more expensive, and often far-out-of-town accommodation. But something is better than nothing.

Im assuming you have checked Ischgl.com?

Hi Redtraveller

Just a thought but try hotel Alpina. We live not too far away from Ischgl so we try and get in at weekends and this hotel is available most times! I agree with the above comments. It is peak season %26amp; a nightmare to book up!

This hotel is near the bahn with plenty of life %26amp; Apres ski bars, and about 10 mins into the centre. Try it! Who knows! www.alpina-Ischgl.at

Good luck!
