Central location

We are looking at hotels for a three night stay in Vienna in March. We don%26#39;t know the city at all and would be grateful if someone could advise us as to what sort of location we should be looking for in order to be in the centre of everything, eg tourist attractions and shops. Some of the hotels we have looked at are the Deutschmeister, the Tabor and the Mariahilf. Are any or all of these in a really good central location?

I do not know a hotel called the mariahilf. Mariahilf is the name used by those living in Vienna for Mariahilferstrasse, a main shopping street mainly in the 7th District of the city. So I suppose any hotel with that name is in that area.

Thus, all hotels you mention are not in the center of the city and are not in a %26quot; really good central location%26quot;

The city center or Innenstadt is designated the First District with a postal code A-1010.

Look for a hotel having that postal code and you will have a well located hotel for tourism purposes.

Review prior postings here for good information regarding places you might like.

Or post again with more information regarding price you want to pay and any other requirements.

March is a good time to find some hotel bargains as it could be considered a slow timw for tourists.

Many thanks Vertical. I will check out post-codes and try and find somewhere that way. We are looking for a mid-price range hotel, probably three star possibly four star, preferably with breakfast included.
