Train Innsbruck to Munich

I have to get a train on Boxing day , I have eurail pass, I cant book a seat until I arrive in Europe a few day prior, is Boxing day 26th DEC a busy travel day , will the trains be booked. This may appear a silly questio but in some parts of the world the 26th is the most chaotic travel day of the year.

From what I understand of Boxing day, it is celebrated in Great Britain and Canada. As for Germany, I think they still celebrate Dec. 26 as part of their Christmas holiday, Weihnachten.

The trains probably won%26#39;t be booked the day after Christmas. We traveled in Germany on another holiday - October 3, Tag der D. Einheit, and had no problems getting a seat.

The 26th is Stefanitag in Austria. A Holiday with most business, offices, banks, and stores closed.

It is usually not a busy day for travel.

Schools are closed here until January 9th so many people will remain on vacation until then. No need totravel on the 26th.

Numerous trains run daily Innsbruck - Munich so no problem to travel.

Thankyou for your info. It is most appreciated.
