Rail Travel

We are planning a trip to Austria for a week in early August and would like the chance to visit both Salzburg and Vienna.

One option for us would be to fly to Munich (I%26#39;m having difficulty getting flights to Salzburg itself) - how easy is it to travel by rail from Munich to Salzburg?

I understand that to travel by train from Salzburg to Vienna takes about three hours - where can I find further details including timetables?

Your assistance is very much appreciated.

www.bahn.de is the German rail website and has an English button.

www.oebb.at is the Austrian one and doesn%26#39;t

Both will have all the timetables. The oebb one will probably give you guidance on fares. If there is an economy fare the ticket office will usually give it to you without prompting.

Thanks Big Dave for your advice - much appreciated.

Yes it does have one. Click on the dropdown list at the top of the page labeled %26quot;Sprache/Language%26quot; and choose %26quot;Englisch%26quot; or simply go to
