Mayrhofen

My wife %26amp; I are considering a weeks walking holiday in Mayrhofen in September 2006 but we are also interested in what evening entertainment there may be in the village or surrounding villages such as concerts or live music.

Can anybody advise please?

We went the end of last August and had a wonderful time. The weather was changeable but we were out cycling, skiing %26amp; hiking in the day and we sat outside in the evenings. Plenty of live music in the evenings in different hotels, bars, etc mainly traditional. There was a 4 night openair Country %26amp; Western festival when we were there by the woods that started late afternoon - late in the evening. You could write an email to the tourist board info@mayrhofen.at for the summer itinary or go to www.mayrhofen.at and summer info.

We stayed at the 4* Strass, next to the Penken Bahn in the centre and the service, food and wellness centre was fab. We have just come back from skiing last week and stayed at 3* Hotel Andrea , near the Ahorn Bahn and I can%26#39;t rave enough about it. You can go B %26amp; B or H/board (food very good), the restaurant is always busy (very popular), friendly, spotless and the wellness centre is on the top floor with lovely views.
