Vienna

Would appreciate some guidance on Vienna%26#39;s pub%26#39;s and club%26#39;s

Will be in Vienna from the 28th Jan to the 2nd Feb on business so will be busy during the day, however being Irish I am looking forward to sampling Vienna%26#39;s nightlife..!!

Advise on lively areas would be helpful but also keen to try traditional Austrian pubs??

I am also interested in history practically in 19th/20th centuries so pointers on military museums would be helpful

Thanks

Much night life in Vienna-

Look to

www.info.wien.at

for information , places style etc.

It will give you much more information than can easily be written here.

From Irish Pubs ( many) to latest %26quot; In%26quot; places.

One place that seems to survive all change in trends is the Passage on the Ring near to the Hofburg.

Regarding military history-

one of the best places

The Museum of Military History- from the 16th century to 1945. Good exhibits including the car in which Archduke Ferdinand was shot that led to World War 1.

If you enjoy military history - this museum is a must.

Fantastic building ( Arsenal) near the Sudbahnhof

web site will give more info, directions, openings etc.

www.hgm.or.at

Also interesting is the Vienna Museum on Karlsplatz.
